History
From its modest beginnings in 1974 as a single motel in Aberdeen, South Dakota, offering rooms for $8.88 per night, the Super 8® brand has experienced dynamic growth. Since HFS (now Wyndham Hotel Group) acquired the brand in 1993, Super 8 has expanded to more than 2,000 properties and can be found in more locations than any other economy lodging chain in the world.
